Free Wedding Planning Kit
(You may want to print this to help you plan your wedding)
Pictures and brochures can paint a much different picture than reality. For that reason we suggest you ask many questions of the chapels you are considering for one of the most important days of your life. If you are not going to visit the chapel before you book your wedding you may want to ask some of the following questions.
Is there a dressing suite for the bride, and once she is dressed will she have to go outside to enter the chapel?
Our chapel has placed the bridal room next to the entry of the sanctuary. Once you are dressed you will not have to walk outside around the building into the "weather" or take a chance of being seen by your guests before the wedding.
Do you have a business office away from the chapel or will other people be coming and going during the wedding?
We have chosen to have our offices (4.3 miles from the Chapel, at 379 East Parkway) completely away from the chapel so that the religious ceremony and celebration will not be disturbed by future clients or people looking for their pictures or to pickup tuxedos.
Is there a lobby for my guests to wait in before the wedding?
Our chapel has a beautiful lobby with a fireplace, seating, and music for your guests to gather before the ceremony. They will not have to wait in the parking lot or in their cars if it is raining.
How many weddings do you schedule per hour? And will you guarantee that?
Weddings at our chapel are never scheduled closer than one hour apart. Our brides will not have to wait in the parking lot to hear their name called.
If I am getting a bridal bouquet will it be made just for me?
At our chapel each bouquet is individually ordered for each wedding. Our coordinators will help you select the colors and style flowers you want for you, the groom, and the entire wedding party. You will not be given some standard bouquet that is handed to you as you start your walk down the aisle.
Is your chapel surrounded by nature or is it next to the highway? (how many feet from the highway are you?) And what buildings are next to you?
Our chapel borders the National Park so you are surrounded by trees and some fantastic photo opportunities. There are no retail businesses or highways adjacent to the chapel. As you pull into our driveway you are immediately surrounded by the peace and tranquility you want for your mountain wedding. We are more than 300 feet from the highway.
What is your video and sound system composed of? Will I get a professional video or will it be recorded with one camera and a "boom-box"?
As one of the newest chapel in the Smokies we also have the newest equipment. Our video system utilizes four wall mounted video cameras with a Videographer in a separate room actually creating your video during your ceremony. Our sound system is also state of the art. If you have a soloist we can provide a microphone for them and we are glad to use our music or yours for your ceremony.
Is there room for me to have bridesmaids?
Yes. Our chapel is thirty feet wide and can accommodate bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girls and ring bearer with no problems. Our coordinators will work with your bridal party before the wedding starts to let everyone know exactly what to do and where to stand.
Is there adequate free parking at your chapel and is it close to the chapel and at the same level? Or, will my guests have to walk up steep hills or pay for parking?
There is never a fee for parking at our chapel. The parking is all at chapel level.
When you say candlelight service what do you mean - how many candles are there?
We have 57 candles at the front of the sanctuary.
