Obtaining your TN Marriage License
The license must be issued by the state where the ceremony occurs
(not your home state)
You can obtain your marriage license from any Tennessee County
There are 3 locations here in SEVIER County where you can obtain your
TN marriage license once you arrive into town.
There is a county clerk in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge (Open Saturdays Only) and in our county seat, Sevierville.

Please check this information before arriving to town as hours and days of the week they are open change periodically.
You can apply online within 30 days of your wedding and pick it up when you get into town. You both need to be present with the proper ID.

Adra Rowland/Sevier County Clerk Marriage License Requirements:
Both applicants must be 18 years of age Both applicants must be present to obtain marriage license Present the following: VALID driver’s license, state-issued photo ID card, military ID, or Passport AND Social Security Card (if you are unable to provide your card you MUST know number) NOTE: If you are a non U.S. citizen a valid passport is the only documentation required If either of you have been divorced or widowed, you will need to know the exact date that the divorce was final, or date of death. If the bride has a name change in her divorce and has not updated on her driver’s license, she will need to provide a certified copy of her divorce decree There is no blood test There is no waiting period License must be used within 30 days from the date it was obtained in our office License can be used same day as obtained at one of our offices Fee for out of state residents is $41.00 cash, or if paying by card there will be a small processing fee Fee for Tennessee residents in $101.00 cash, or if paying by card there will be a small processing fee
